Privacy Policy

This website has no forms, no analytics, no cookies and no tracking. What follows is what we do collect — mostly when you email us — and what happens to it.

Who we are

Fiord Group Pty Ltd (ACN 700 387 391, ABN 11 700 387 391) is a hydrology and environmental engineering practice based in Western Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Fiord Group Pty Ltd.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and in the course of our work, how we use it, and how you can reach us about it.

What this website collects

Nothing automatically. This website has no contact forms, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, no third-party embedded scripts and no cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own domain rather than from a third-party network, so loading a page here does not report your visit to anyone else.

Our web host records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, the page requested and your browser type. These are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes, are not linked to you by name, and are not used by us to build any profile of you.

Information you give us directly

If you email or call us, we collect what you choose to tell us — typically your name, contact details, the organisation you represent, and the details of the project you are enquiring about.

If we go on to work together, we collect what the engagement requires. For hydrology and flood work that is usually project and site information rather than personal information, but it can include the names, roles and contact details of the people involved on your side, and site addresses or landholder details where the study needs them.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry, to prepare proposals, to deliver and administer the work you engage us for, to meet our professional and legal obligations, and to keep the records a professional practice is expected to keep.

We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose it for anyone else’s marketing. We do not send marketing emails from information collected through this website.

Who we share it with

Only where the work or the law requires it. That can include subconsultants and specialists engaged on your project (for example surveyors, pilots or civil engineers), regulators and approval authorities where a submission requires it, our professional advisers, and the software and cloud storage providers that host our files.

Some of those service providers store data outside Australia. We use mainstream providers with published security practices, but we cannot control every jurisdiction in which they operate.

How we store it

Project records and correspondence are held in access-controlled cloud storage with reputable providers. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to us over the internet.

We keep project records for as long as they may be needed for the purposes above, including the period during which a professional claim relating to the work could be brought, and then dispose of them securely.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

There are situations where we may not be able to delete information — for example where we are required to retain it, or where it forms part of a project record we may need to rely on. If we decline a request we will tell you why.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change — in particular if we ever add a contact form, analytics, or any third-party tool to this website. The date below shows when this version took effect.
