Surface Water Management
Overview
Surface water management plans and drainage design for sites where the water risk is real and ongoing — mine sites, catchments and processing areas — sized against the climate the site actually sits in.
Capabilities
- Surface water management plans covering both frequent nuisance rainfall and infrequent, high-intensity events on the same infrastructure
- Sediment and erosion control design integrated with site layout, not bolted on afterward
- Drainage sized against cyclonic, tropical or arid-zone rainfall intensities where that’s the genuine site exposure, rather than a generic urban design standard
- Engineering oversight of flood modelling feasibility work, including managing junior engineering input on larger studies
The sites where surface water management actually gets tested are the ones with real climatic extremes — cyclones, monsoons, flash arid-zone storms. Designing to the average rainfall year on one of these sites isn’t a simplification, it’s a different, wrong answer.
